<li>Salt,</li>
<li>Pepper,</li>
<li>Red Chilli Powder,</li>
<li>Lemon Juice</li>

<h3>Step 1</h3>
<p>Peel away the red skin using a potato peeler or sharp knife<br />
<a rel="lightbox" title="Peel away the red skin using a potato peeler or sharp knife" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/2.jpg"> <img width="480" title="Peel away the red skin using a potato peeler or sharp knife" alt="Peel away the red skin using a potato peeler or sharp knife" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/2.jpg" /> </a></p>
<h3>Step 2</h3>
<p>Cut the ends off the cassava. Now cut the cassava into large pieces around 3 inches in length.<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/3.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 2" alt="step 2" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/3.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 3</h3>
<p>Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add a teaspoon of salt.<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/4.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 3" alt="step 3" src="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/4.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 4</h3>
<p>Cook the cassave in the water for around 30 &#8211; 45 minutes. It will start to split when it is done.<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/6.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 5" alt="step 5" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/6.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 5</h3>
<p>Drain the water out from the pan and place the cassava on a chopping board.. (careful, its hot)<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/7.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 6" alt="step 6" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/7.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 6</h3>
<p>Slice it up into &#8220;chip&#8221; sized pieces. Place the pieces onto a baking tray, oven proof pot or similar (I used a piece of foil on a oven shelf)<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/8.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 7" alt="step 7" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/8.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 7</h3>
<p>Sprinkle some red chilli powder over the chips. You might want to add a little more salt here, and cracked black pepper. (I used garam masala instead of red chilli powder)<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/9.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 8" alt="step 8" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/9.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 8</h3>
<p>Sprinkle some lemon juice over the chips. The lemon juice helps the chips to become crisp and glazed.<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/10.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 9" alt="step 9" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/10.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 9</h3>
<p>Place the chips into a pre-heated oven at 220 degrees centigrade. Leave it for around 15 minutes or until the chips are turning golden around the edges.<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/11.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 10" alt="step 10" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/11.jpg" /></a></p>
<h3>Step 10</h3>
<p>Serve.</p>
<p>The picture shows from left to right:</p>
<p>1. Boiled cassava, with seasoning</p>
<p>2. Baked cassava with seasoning.</p>
<p>3. Plain boiled cassava.<br />
<a rel="lightbox" href="/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/12.jpg"><img width="480" title="step 11" alt="step 11" src="http://www.anupsaund.com/UserFiles/Image/thumbs/12.jpg" /></a><a /></p>
<p>A nice alternative to regular chips hey?.. Enjoy. x</p>
